HOW DO I REGISTER?
You must fill out the online registration here. This is all you need to do to register for the Conference. Registration must be received by Friday, September 13th.

 

 

WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR THE CONFERENCE AND WHO PAYS FOR THEM?

The Conference is an all-inclusive package. Fees are as follows:


MLSC Legal Services Staff - Double Occupancy (no charge to you)
MLSC Legal Services Staff - Single Occupancy ($98.00)
MLSC Legal Services Staff - Add an Adult Guest ($242.00)
LSAC Grantees/Volunteer Attys/Nonprofit Staff - Double Occupancy ($242.00)
LSAC Grantees/Volunteer Attys/Nonprofit Staff - Single Occupancy ($340.00)
LSAC Grantees/Volunteer Attys/Nonprofit Staff - Plus an Adult Guest ($484.00)
Others - Double Occupancy ($342.00)
Others - Single Occupancy ($440.00)
Others - Plus an Adult Guest ($684.00)

Child Rate:

Ages 13 - 18 = $117.50

Ages 5 - 12 = $58.38

Ages 2 - 4 = $25.28

Under 2 = Free

Note: There is no child care center available through State Support or Arrowwood Conference Center.

Minnesota Legal Services Coalition Programs Staff
Your program pays for all your conference fees (except incidentals) for double occupancy. Coalition programs will be billed after the Conference.
You may select your own roommate in advance in the online registration. If you select double occupancy and do not select a roommate, one will be randomly assigned for you.
If you request a single room, the additional package cost is $98.00, which you must pay personally and directly to Legal Services State Support at the time you register. Programs will not cover the cost of a single room. State Support must receive your payment and registration by Friday, September 13th.

LSAC Grantees, Volunteer Attorneys, and Nonprofit Staff
LSAC Grantees, volunteer attorneys and nonprofit staff' fees are $242 per person for a double room (include a name of roommate or one will be randomly assigned) and $340.00 for a single room.

All Other Participants
All other participants must pay $342.00 per person for a double room and $440.00 for a single room.

 

 

WHAT FEE CATEGORY DO I FIT IN?

MLSC Legal Services Staff - Includes Minnesota Legal Services Coalition program staff (Anishinabe Legal Services, Central Minnesota Legal Services, Judicare of Anoka County, Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota, Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota, Inc., Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services).

LSAC Grantees, Volunteer Attorneys, and Nonprofit Staff - Includes LSAC Grantees staff, attorneys currently volunteering with a civil legal services provider, and employees of nonprofits and government agencies.

Others - Includes private sector attorneys who are not volunteering through a legal services provider, and anyone else who does not fit into one of the above categories.

 

 

WHAT DOES DOUBLE OCCUPANCY MEAN?
A double occupancy room means two adults in one room with two beds. A single occupancy room means one adult in one room with one (or two) bed(s).

 

 

WHAT DO STATE CONFERENCE FEES COVER?
Fees cover your lodging for two nights, six group meals, three group coffee breaks, Conference CLEs, materials and MN sales tax and service charge.

 

 

HOW DO I CHOOSE MY ROOMMATE?

Conference participants sharing a room must each register online and include their roommate's name in the space provided. If you select double occupancy and do not provide a roommate's name, one will be randomly assigned to you.

 

 

WHAT IF I WANT TO BRING A FAMILY MEMBER OR A FRIEND TO STAY WITH ME DURING THE CONFERENCE?
If a guest or spouse will be coming with you, but is not a Conference participant, you must pay the applicable guest rate. Register online for you and your guest to attend. The rates for you and a guest to attend are as follows:

Legal Services Staff - Add an Adult Guest ($242.00)

LSAC Grantees/Volunteer Attys/Nonprofit Staff - Plus an Adult Guest ($484.00)

Others - Plus an Adult Guest ($684.00)

WHAT IF I WANT TO BRING MY CHILD WITH ME DURING THE CONFERENCE?

If a guest or spouse will be coming with you, but is not a Conference participant, you must pay the applicable child rate. To register and arrange payment for a child(ren) to attend, contact Ann Conroy at aconroy@mnlegalservices.org or at 651-842-6911. The rates for you and a guest to attend are as follows:

WHAT IF I STAY FOR ONLY ONE NIGHT OR ONLY PART OF THE CONFERENCE?
Our package rate includes two nights lodging, six group meals, three group coffee breaks, Conference CLEs, materials and MN sales tax and service charge. The same rate will be charge for a shorter stay and/or fewer meals. You or your program will be charged the full fee if you come for any or all of the Conference.

 

 

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL DUE TO PERSONAL OR WORK-RELATED OBLIGATIONS?
You must cancel with Legal Services State Support by Friday, September 13th, 2013 to incur no charge. After September 13th, no refunds will be made. However, you may substitute another person in your program (who has not yet registered) to take your place. Please notify State Support of the change as soon as possible and before the start of the Conference. Otherwise we might not be able to accommodate your request.

 

 

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I THINK THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO LEAVE MY OPTIONS OPEN IN CASE I CAN?
If you think you may end up canceling, please don't register! If the registration deadline has passed and you become certain that you will attend the Conference, contact Ann Conroy at aconroy@mnlegalservices.org or at 651-842-6911.

 

 

CAN I CHOOSE A NON-SMOKING OR SMOKING ROOM?

All lodging rooms at Arrowwood Resort are non-smoking. Guests may smoke outside on their balcony or outside the entrance doors.

 

 

CAN I EXTEND MY STAY FOR THE WEEKEND?

We have arranged a special rate of $139 per night (double occupancy Friday or Saturday) that includes 4 water park passes. This rate does not include meals or MN sales tax.

You must make weekend reservations directly with Arrowwood at 866-386-5263. If you choose to stay an extra night, this may involve moving to a different room at the Resort.

 

 

CAN I CHARGE INCIDENTALS OR ROOM SERVICE TO MY ROOM?
You will be asked for a credit card when checking into the hotel to cover any incidentals such as room service, movie rental, phone calls, restaurant meals (other than conference-provided meals) or anything charged to your room. These type incidentals are your responsibility.
If you do not want to give a credit card, incidentals can be purchased on a cash basis at the time of purchase.
