The Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) of Minnesota helps reduce the education debt burden experienced by dedicated public interest lawyers who represent low-income clients seeking legal services to secure essential needs like food, shelter and safety, and fundamental rights like equal access to justice.  In this session, LRAP executive director Heather Rastorfer Vlieger will provide a step-by-step guide on how to access federal income-driven repayment, Public Service Loan Forgiveness programs, and LRAP Minnesota.

In discussing tools for debt management, the session will also address stress management for public interest lawyers, helping to focus on client service in satisfaction of ethical obligations.  This training will include legislative updates on bills affecting loan repayment programs.  There will be time for Questions & Answers.
