DESCRIPTION:The Annual Law Day Dinner is co-sponsored by T
 he Fund for Legal Aid and the Hennepin County Bar 
 Association. The Fund for Legal Aid is a non-profi
 t organization that raises over one million dollar
 s annually for Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid. The Funds 
 directors include attorneys and corporate counsel 
 from many of Minnesotas leading firms and corporat
 ions. 
  
 The Law Day Dinner is The Funds major
  fundraising event. The event is the legal communi
 tys largest gathering, and is attended by private 
 and public attorneys, corporate counsel, judges, a
 nd faculty from the Twin Cities three law schools.
  The Law Day Dinner has become a premiere event fo
 r the legal community. 
  
 Mid-Minnesota Legal 
 Aid is a nonprofit that has been helping low-incom
 e neighbors in crisis, older adults, and people wi
 th disabilities in our community for over 100 year
 s. Their free civil legal services are a critical 
 lifeline for people impacted by losing a job, faci
 ng discrimination, living in unsafe conditions, an
 d desperately needing safety from abuse and neglec
 t. 
  
 The Law Day Dinner raises critical funds
  to continue this work and makes it possible to he
 lp even more people in our community. Mid-Minnesot
 a Legal Aid is forced to turn away people due to t
 he number of requests they receive. With the legal
  communitys support, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid can s
 trengthen their legal services for our neighbors.
