2017 Legal Services Roundtable

In  our  current  climate,  clients  and  service  providers  alike  are  fraught  with  anxiety  and  uncertainty.  Judge  Bruce  Peterson  will  moderate  a  roundtable  discussion  designed  to provide us with tools to effectively communicate. Expert panelists from the 911 Resource Center, the University of Minnesota, the Hennepin County Community Corrections & Rehabilitation Department, and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office will specifically address the following topics:

1. Communicating with anxious or traumatized clients
2. Listening to strong opinions
3. Motivational interviewing
4. Calming upset or angry clients
