Join MMLA attorneys as they provide an overview of US Naturalization law and how individuals apply to become citizens of the United States. This training is open to all, but it is specifically developed to prepare pro bono attorneys and paralegals interested in volunteering at the monthly MMLA citizenship workshops.
Trainers will discuss general concepts in immigration law before moving into an attendee directed discussion of who can apply for citizenship, the process of applying for citizenship, and the red flags or problems that diligent attorneys and preparers must identify prior to assisting a client through this process. The training is excellent for the beginner or for the attorney who has worked with immigrants in other types of immigration proceedings.
