Client has lung cancer. Interested in trying to get reimbursement for ruined furniture, she approximates value at 50k. Client lost her home in foreclosure and put her belongings into storage. She was promised a climate controlled unit. When she collected belongings on 4/23/18 they were wet and moldy to the point that the moving company she had hired refused to move some of the belongings because they were in such bad condition. Some items were moved into her apartment but she said the mold is so bad that she is currently staying with her daughter. She called storage company and he told her that they would not charge her for storage, she complained some more and was told to hire an attorney and the person hung up on her. She lost some items- as well as personal mementos such as photos, etc. She would like assistance in filing a claim for reimbursement. (Said that the moldy furniture is so stinky she has to leave the patio door open.)
