Volunteering in Family Law is EASY!

It's easy to get started volunteering in the area of Family Law. There are many organizations throughout the state of Minnesota that are in need of attorneys in many capacities. You don't even have to take on a full case!

Here are some volunteer ideas:

Educate Others

Teach a class of workshop for a few hours.

Brief Representation

Give quick advice to someone who has legal questions or needs support - by telephone or in person.

Clinics

Spend a few hours helping people prepare paperwork and answering legal questions in a clinic setting.

Hotlines

Provide brief phone advice to callers

Mediations

Help people resolve disputes without resorting to litigation.

Full Representation

Take on an entire case from start to finish and hone your skills or learn new ones. Cases range from the very simple to complex - you choose.

How to do it...

The easiest way to get started is to find an organization near you that provides volunteer opportunities. To find an organization, check out the MSBA Pro Bono Directory for volunteers.
