With so many great legal service organizations in Minnesota, we want  to share more about the daily work each of us are doing that you may not  know about. Our next featured organization is Legal Assistance of  Olmsted County (LAOC). We'll talk about their work championing stability  for families, accountability for better housing, and meaningful legal  representation on other civil matters. Learn about how LAOC got started,  the types of cases they handle, and what new projects and initiatives  they are undertaking. LAOC staff will talk about how to make referrals  to their program and clinics. Hopefully you will come away inspired by  the work of colleagues in the justice community and with new ideas for  engaging, serving, and referring clients.

Presenter: Karen Fairbairn Nath, J.D. is the Executive Director of Legal Assistance of Olmsted County. She graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1988. She practiced labor/employment law at Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis before she  went in-house and worked in the Holiday Companies’ legal department.
