Join MMLA staff attorney Laura Wilson as she provides an overview on US immigration law and how individuals become US Citizens. This training is open to all, but it is specifically developed for pro bono attorneys and paralegals interested in volunteering with MMLA's immigration program.

Laura will discuss general concepts in immigration law before moving into an attendee directed discussion of who can apply for citizenship, the process of applying for citizenship, and the red flags or problems that diligent attorneys must identify before assisting a client through this process. The training is excellent for novice immigration attorneys as well as those who have worked with immigrant clients through other types of USCIS applications.
