HOME Line will host on the website CLE For Good, a legal education webinar broadcast live over the web on Wednesday May 20, 2015.

Available as a full 5-hour webinar, discounted Ethics/Elimination of Bias seminars, or choose each hour/credit you wish.

Those who register attend by internet and submit written questions via the webinar Q&A chat system. The webinar will include live video, audio lecture from attorney presenters, and on-screen presentations. Written electronic materials will be provided to registrants in advance.

The seminars and times will be as follows with five-minute scheduled breaks between each session, all on Wednesday, May 20th, from 10:00am - 3:20pm:

1st Hour, 10:00am-11:00am: "Luddite Lawyers: The Ticking Ethics Time Bomb" by Sam Glover, consumer rights attorney and founder of Lawyerist (1.0 hour CLE Ethics credit approved).

2nd Hour, 11:05am-12:05pm: "Ethical Representation of Landlord and Tenants" by Lawrence McDonough, Pro Bono Litigation Counsel with Dorsey & Whitney and former Managing Attorney of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid's Housing Unit (1.0 hour CLE Ethics credit approved).

3rd Hour, 12:10pm-1:10pm: "Ethical Considerations in Employment Law and Workers Compensation" by Jason Raether, attorney with Hellmuth & Johnson specializing in Commercial Litigation and Employment Law (1.0 hour CLE Ethics credit approved).

4th Hour, 1:15pm-2:15pm: "Special Challenges Arising from President Obama's Executive Action for Immigrants" by Gloria Contreras Edin, owner of Contreras Edin & Associates, PLLC, a firm specializing in serving immigrants, refugees and their families from all nationalities and countries (1.0 hour CLE Elimination of Bias credit approved).

5th Hour, 2:20pm-3:20pm: "Concerns and Best Practices: Working with Limited English Proficiency Clients and Clients with Disabilities" by Lael Robertson, Supervising Attorney of the Housing Discrimination Law Project, Legal Aid Society. (1.0 hour CLE Elimination of Bias credit approved).

  • CLE Credit Comments: The course has been approved by the Minnesota State Board of CLE for 3.0 hours of Ethics and 2.0 hours of Elimination of Bias CLE credits. Prices are set at very affordable rates, depending on which credits you wish to obtain. $100 for the entire 5-hour seminar, $60 for 3 hours of Ethics seminars, $50 for 2 hours of Elimination of Bias seminars, or $25 for an individual hour.
