  • Organization: Minnesota Legal Services Coalition

Jerry Lane, long-time Executive Director of Mid-Minnesota Legal Assistance has announced his retirement in the Spring of 2011. In a statement to staff, Jerry writes
"As of next spring I'll have been in legal services for over 42 years, with Legal Aid here for 41, and in the executive director position for just short of 30.... I've loved almost every minute of it... My love of the program and its mission is undiminished. But I am into the grandparent stage of life and want to embrace that role. Also, though my decision is not health-based, I was reminded earlier this year that my plan to live forever is not likely to succeed."

MMLA's Board and Leadership Team will be coordinating the transition process over the next several months.
