"New Laws" training focuses on the changes in the law that have occurred in the past year that might have an impact on battered women and their children. The training includes information on Minnesota State legislative changes, Minnesota and Federal appellate decisions, Minnesota's tribal court changes, immigration policy changes and federal legislative changes. New Laws is a two-day training. The first day focuses on the “New Laws” and the second day other day is used for other topics of interests. This year three topics of interest will be discussed: 1) confidentiality, record keeping, subpoenas and chain of evidence; 2) the stalking victim and; 3) What does the term “domestic violence” mean and are we all using the term in the same way.

  • CLE Credit Comments: 6.50 standard CLE credits will be applied for Day One and 5.25 standard and 1.5 bias CLE credits will be applied for Day Two. CEUs and POST credits will also be provided.
