Achieving diversity in the legal profession has proved to be a very complex issue nationwide, as well as here in Minnesota. Diversity experts all agree that law schools need to be involved, not only in attracting more minority students to their own schools, but in other less obvious ways. However, despite years of special efforts by the law schools and an increasingly diverse population, the proportion of students of color in our local law schools and in the profession, hasn't changed much in the last decade. In this webcast, representatives from Hamline University School of Law, University of St. Thomas School of Law, the University of Minnesota Law School and William Mitchell College of Law will talk about what their schools are doing to enhance the diversity of the profession in Minnesota.
