Martin (Marty) Lawyer is a staff attorney with Bay Area Legal Services, Inc., in Tampa. Marty has been an active member of the Florida Legal Services Housing Umbrella Group since its inception in 1982. Marty has represented tenants in landlord-tenant cases, including federally-assisted tenancies, since 1973. He was lead counsel in the landmark Section 8 housing case of Basco v. Machin, 514 F.3d 1177 (11th Cir. 2008).
